Class 2 Driver – Tramping (Nights Away)

Location: Wynyard, TS22
Industry: Specialist Logistics – Aluminium and Glazing Product Distribution

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Night‑Out Allowance: £35 tax‑free per night
Hours: 40–45 hours per week (overtime paid after 8 hours per day)
Tramping: 3–4 nights away per week (accommodation provided)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a professional and reliable Class 2 Tramping Driver to join a well‑established, family‑owned logistics company supporting the UK aluminium and glazing industry. This is a long‑term role with consistent work and the opportunity for permanent employment for the right driver.

You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries of specialist products, working to high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver aluminium products, roof lanterns, and bifold doors to trade counters across the UK
• Ensure goods are handled safely and delivered on time
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
• Stay away overnight 3–4 nights per week (accommodation arranged)
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, road safety, and customer service

What We’re Looking For

• Full Category C (Class 2) driving licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum of 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable, professional, and safety‑focused approach
