Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | Day Shift

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Food Production Operatives for a well‑established, family‑run food production business based in Gilesgate. This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced production environment, working with chilled and frozen products, including raw and cooked meat.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable individuals looking for stable, full‑time employment with consistent weekday hours.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:30pm
(Some flexibility required for an earlier start on Mondays)

Key Responsibilities

You will work across both low‑risk and high‑risk production areas, supporting the full cooking and packing process. Duties include:

• Loading raw products onto cooking plates in the low‑risk area
• Loading and unloading racks into and out of fridges
• Weighing, packing, and labelling finished products in the high‑risk area
• Monitoring and maintaining all Critical Control Points (CCPs)
• Adhering to strict hygiene, food safety, and quality control standards at all times

The Ideal Candidate

• Comfortable working in chilled and frozen environments
• Previous food production experience is advantageous but not essential
• Physically fit and able to remain on your feet throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
