GMP Production Operatives – Veterinary Medicines
A well‑established contract manufacturing provider is currently recruiting GMP Production Operatives to join its Manufacturing and Packaging team within a specialist Veterinary Medicines (Pharmaceutical) Production Unit.
The organisation partners with clients across the pharmaceutical, agricultural, agrochemical, horticultural, and fine chemical sectors, and is widely recognised for delivering high‑quality, compliant ‘own‑label’ production solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regulated and specialist production environment. While previous experience in GMP or pharmaceutical manufacturing is advantageous, it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
The Role
As a GMP Production Operative, you will support all stages of the manufacturing and packaging process, ensuring products are produced safely, accurately, and in full compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting all stages of manufacturing and packaging, including weighing, packing, and labelling finished goods for dispatch
- Carrying out manual handling activities, lifting equipment and products weighing between 5kg and 20kg
- Maintaining strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to ensure a safe, compliant, and hygienic working environment
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with site housekeeping standards
- Upholding product quality and integrity in line with approved specifications
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
- Functional skills in English and Maths, with fluent communication abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
- Confident following written instructions and operational procedures
- Methodical, accurate, and quality‑focused approach to work
- Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating initiative and self‑motivation
- Commitment to complying with GMP, VMD, and MHRA regulations, including strict hygiene requirements
- Responsible attitude toward maintaining product quality, documentation accuracy, and data integrity
