Location: Aycliffe, Durham
Pay Rate: £12.80 – £13.12 per hour
Shifts Available: Days and Backs (7:00am–3:00pm / 3:00pm–11:00pm)

Role Overview

As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing and packaging of raw pet food products. Working as part of a fast‑paced production team, you will help ensure daily production targets are met while maintaining strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Preparing, weighing, and mixing raw ingredients in line with production specifications
• Packing finished products and ensuring correct labelling and quality standards
• Maintaining clean and hygienic work areas at all times
• Carrying out quality checks and reporting any issues to supervisors
• Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
• Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets

Requirements

• Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work in a chilled environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Willingness to work flexible shifts (days and backs)
