Packer / Production Operative
Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a reliable and motivated Packer / Production Operative to join our fast‑paced manufacturing site in Thirsk. This is a permanent, full‑time position offering stable weekday hours within a supportive production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Mixing, weighing, packing, and labelling finished products
- Carrying out manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 25kg
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety
- Ensuring product quality and adherence to company procedures
- Keeping work areas clean and following good housekeeping practices
Essential Skills and Qualities
- Ability to work full‑time hours
- Must hold a valid driving licence
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow written instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work well within a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing job demands
- Good understanding of health, safety, hygiene, and quality standards, including HACCP and GMP
