We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Safety Coordinator to join a dynamic team within the construction and design sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring health, safety, and compliance standards are met across projects, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

People & Team Support

  • Coordinate onboarding for new team members, including inductions and system access.
  • Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate records.
  • Organise meetings, travel arrangements, and team engagement activities.
  • Maintain staff certifications (e.g., CSCS cards, DBS checks) and assist with renewals.

Project Support

  • Assist with health and safety documentation, including Pre-Construction Information and risk assessments.
  • Maintain project records and compile reports using branded templates.
  • Support accreditation submissions (e.g., CHAS, Constructionline).
  • Track compliance with Building Regulations and assist with Gateway submissions.

Finance & Administration

  • Assist with fee letters, contracts, and project setup.
  • Monitor budgets, process purchase orders, and track expenses.
  • Ensure timely submission of timesheets and expenses.

Facilities & Compliance

  • Provide occasional reception and switchboard cover.
  • Support workplace health and safety compliance, including fire safety procedures and risk assessments.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document management platforms.
  • Experience within construction or architectural environments.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of CDM 2015, Building Regulations, and the Building Safety Act.
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and SharePoint.
