Are you an experienced Shot Blaster looking for a long-term opportunity with training, stability, and progression? Our client based in North Shields is seeking a skilled Shot Blaster to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
About the Role
As a Shot Blaster, you will be responsible for preparing a range of concrete & metal components and surfaces for finishing, coating, or refurbishment. This is a key role within the production team where attention to detail and pride in workmanship are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating industrial shot blasting equipment to clean, smooth, and prepare steel and concrete components
- Inspecting materials before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the wider workshop team when required
Requirements
- Previous shot blasting experience is essential
- Experience using hand‑held tools (grinders, sanders, air tools, etc.) is highly advantageous and may support progression later in your contract however not essential
- Strong understanding of workshop health & safety
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
