Forklift Driver – Bishop Auckland
Central Employment are recruiting experienced Forklift Drivers to join our client’s team based in Bishop Auckland.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work within a fast‑paced warehouse environment, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
About the Role
Working within the Warehouse department, you will support the smooth flow of materials across production. Your role will include:
- Issuing material, packaging, and consumables to production in line with SOPs
- Organising the despatch of finished goods to an external logistics provider
- Supporting stock control and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Ensuring all warehouse areas are clean, safe, and compliant with site standards
You MUST hold valid, in‑date certification for:
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate picking and loading of customer orders
- Despatch of finished goods
- Unloading incoming deliveries
- Maintaining high levels of housekeeping and following cleaning schedules
- Recording stock movements accurately
- Completing stock‑takes and racking inspections (where required)
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of safe working practices
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven setting
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Experience with manual or computerised data entry
Pay & Shifts
Rate: £12.21–£13.50 per hour - depending on experience
Shifts (Monday – Friday):
07:00am to 15:00pm
15:00pm to 23:00pm
This is an ongoing, long-term role with genuine opportunities for permanent employment.
