Forklift Driver

Location: Bishop Auckland

Central Employment is recruiting experienced Forklift Drivers to join our client’s warehouse team based in Bishop Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long‑term, ongoing work within a fast‑paced environment, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role

Working within the warehouse department, you will support the smooth flow of materials across production and dispatch operations. This role requires accuracy, organisation, and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Issuing materials, packaging, and consumables to production in line with SOPs
• Organising the dispatch of finished goods to an external logistics provider
• Accurate picking and loading of customer orders
• Dispatching finished goods and unloading incoming deliveries
• Supporting stock control and maintaining accurate inventory records
• Recording stock movements and completing stock checks
• Carrying out stock‑takes and racking inspections where required
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards and following cleaning schedules
• Ensuring all warehouse areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with site standards

Forklift Requirements

You must hold valid, in‑date certification for:

• Counterbalance Forklift Truck

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Strong understanding of safe working practices
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven setting
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience with manual or computerised data entry

Pay and Shifts

• Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (depending on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Flexibility required to move onto shift rotations if needed
