FLT Driver (Counterbalance)

Central Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver to join a busy and well-established operation based in Peterlee. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual looking for long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position after a successful probation period.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 10:00am - 7:00pm
- Two 30-minute unpaid breaks
- No weekend working
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse and yard operations, ensuring products are moved safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and health & safety.
Duties Include:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving stock, materials, and products throughout the site
- Assisting with stock rotation and inventory control
- Picking and preparing orders for dispatch
- Supporting general warehouse and yard duties
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets
What We're Looking For
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT within a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
