Central Employment is currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a well-established manufacturing and distribution operation based in Bishop Auckland. This is a long-term opportunity for a dependable individual who enjoys working in a busy, fast-moving warehouse environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the warehouse and logistics team, you'll play a key role in ensuring products and materials are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and housekeeping.

Your duties will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and effectively
• Supplying production areas with materials, consumables, and packaging
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch
• Coordinating outbound shipments with third-party logistics providers
• Updating stock records and tracking inventory movements
• Conducting stock checks and supporting periodic stock takes
• Assisting with warehouse inspections and maintaining storage areas
• Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution setting
• A strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a team

Hours & Pay

• £12.71 - £17.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday
• 06:00am - 14:30pm / 14:30pm to 23:00pm 
• Flexibility required, as future shift patterns may be introduced
